Young falcons

In the summer of 2012 a pair of Eurasian Hobbies (Swedish: Lärkfalk) raised their offspring in a small forest near the photograher's home in Hålanda. I never succeded to get any pictures at the nest but one day when the young had just flewn out, I was lucky. The first short sequences show an adult bird flying and warning. It was recorded with my XH-A1s.

For the rest I used the XL-H1A, a 100-300 mm Canon FD lens with a Novoflex adapter, and a Telinga Pro 5 parabolic microphone mounted on the same tripod as the camera (see picture on main page). I estimate now that the distance was first around 75 meters (regrettably the focus is not perfect here) and then around 35 meters.
